Voices of September 11th (VOICES) invites you to attend our upcoming 9/11 Living Memorial events in Arlington, VA. VOICES will host 9/11 Living Memorial presentations on Tuesday, July 27th to discuss the project and how to participate. Those attending are invited to bring your mementos for scanning.
On Thursday, July 29th VOICES staff will host individual Living Memorial appointments. Both events will be held at the Sheraton Crystal City Hotel located at 1800 Jefferson Davis Highway in Arlington, Virginia. 9/11 families, survivors, rescue and recovery workers and those who responded are encouraged to attend.
The 9/11 Living Memorial Project, a digital archive currently online at www.911livingmemorial.org chronicles the lives of the nearly 3,000 lives lost at the Pentagon, Shanksville, PA and the World Trade Center in New York City, and documents the inspirational stories of survivors, rescue and recovery workers. VOICES staff has met with over 800 families who have created a meaningful tribute to their loves ones through an extensive collection of over 40,000 photographs, written materials and personal keepsakes.
