Commemorating the Lives and Stories

The 9/11 Living Memorial digital archive chronicles the nearly 3,000 lives lost and documents the inspirational firsthand accounts of rescue workers, survivors at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and Shanksville, PA.

VOICES staff hosts 9/11 Living Memorial workshops around the country and meets one on one with families to digitize photographs, written materials and personal keepsakes. Memorializing their loved ones can be a healing and emotional day of remembrance for families. Our team of social workers helps participants through the process of organizing these fragile mementos to create a meaningful tribute to their loved ones.

The archive will expand to showcase the caring, courage and compassion that the world experienced that day. Audio and video will be included.
